Homework
Children should work on written homework for no more than 20 minutes
each night. They should also read for 20
minutes each night.
Language Arts homework packets will go home at the beginning of each month and will need to be returned at the end of each month.
Math homework books are to be kept at home. I will update what pages need to be completed on my class newsletter page. Generally, I would like the kids to complete one unit each month.
Reading should be done every evening for at least 20 minutes. You may read to your child and/or your child may read to you. Please have your child fill out the reading log. If it is filled out at the end of each week, your child will receive a sticker on his/her FROG binder. Starting this month your child will receive all 4 TIME magazines in a packet. Please have your child read one magazine per week (these can be used as part of their nightly reading) and answer the questions on the back page. Please turn in the completed magazines at the end of the month.
