About Me

Meet Mrs. McKee

Hi!  My name is Judy McKee and I am thrilled to welcome you and your child to Transitional Kindergarten at Parker Whitney Elementary School.  It is going to be a great year full of lots of learning, new adventures and, of course, tons of (sometimes) messy fun.  I look forward to getting to know you soon, but first, here is a little about me.

I have been teaching in Rocklin for 23 years, and have taught 6th, 4th, 5th and Kinder for the RUSD.  My family and I have lived in Roseville for more than 25 years, but my husband and I both grew up in Auburn and went to Placer High School, before we moved on to Chico State.  We just celebrated our 29th  wedding anniversary.

My husband, Kevin, works for the Dept. of Corrections (downtown) and we have two wonderful daughters and the sweetest, fun-loving chocolate lab, Molly.  Megan recently graduated from the University of Oregon (Go DUCKS!).  Melina is in high school and plays cometitive soccer as well as high school sports.  Our favorite place to visit is Fort Bragg, California where Kevin and Megan can go scuba diving, and everyone including Molly loves to go hiking, tide pooling, biking, kayaking, and boogie boarding ( no, Molly doesn't get on a board, but she does ride the surf as if she were on one!).

I love to bake and sew, and do other crafts, such as scrapbooking. I am an avid photographer.  I also love to grow vegetables and herbs for cooking.  And best of all....I love being a teacher!
